![]() In short, use parting flame for blackflame, and regular flame for other spells if possible. It's amazing for blackflame, but generally a downgrade for other spells. The downside is this makes ALL of your spells cost more stamina. This effect is very fast, and also does extra damage against poise/stability. Originally posted by thrill:The parting flame is slightly weaker, but adds an extra very short range combustion type hit to most offensive spells. I still prefer that the regular hand uses less FP than the Parting Flame. I'll test to see how big the difference is in damage when using Black Flame with both hands. ![]() I normally use it at the end of fights just because the animation is cool Hmm, well in that case, I may just alternate. As you kill enemies in PvE you build up stacks, at a certain amount of stacks (12 I think?) you can consume them with the weapon art for a charge of estus. You can probably find more specific info on the wiki.Īs for the weapon art, it's really not useful in duels. I can't remember exactly how it works but some spells are better with the normal one and some are better with the parting flame. ![]() Originally posted by Krono | Sin:The reason the Parting Flame is considered better for close range is because it has a secondary explosion when you use spells, so you basically get a free combustion that hits a second time if you were to, say, hit somebody with Great Combustion or Black Flame or whatever.
